My take on Spidey's origin. From "The Line It Is Drawn" week #122.

The one thing I added was the bag of cash, which really is never emphasized in any version of Spider-man's origin. He creates Spider-man for money, and lets the robber get away because "Sorry pal, that's YOUR job."

It explains why Parker never tries to make money from selling web shooters or doing interviews anymore.
