Okay, here is the main character for a graphic novel I'm in the process of starting right now. I have vowed to finish this thing, or at the very least, get enough done by April to justify continuing.

The plot revolves around a personal quest for identity after a sudden planet-wide outbreak of complete amnesia.

His name was originally going to be "Dude" to add to his anonymity and everyman quality, but dammit, the Big Lebowski has ruined that forever. Bless 'em.

Aww, I like him. He does come off as a likable, everyman type of guy.

I especially like the sort of S curve in his posture you have going on with him. And some of those expressions are really fun. And I like his hair.

What a likable, technical, intelligent response. I do enjoy getting these slightly more than the "I like it cuz its cool."

The hair is based off of Bret McKenzie from the first season of Flight of the Conchords.

"Guy" is pretty close to Dude.

There has not been a major cult motion picture about a guy named "Guy" yet, though.

Even before that, he went through names like "Hey, you!" and Ishmael, from the first sentence in the first book he picked up at the beginning of the story.

That's all I'm saying, I think "Guy" works as well as "Dude."

Good thinking on backing away from the "Ishmael," by the way.
