So do I. It's one of those things where I ink the second to last panel, and then ten minutes later, I mutter "crap! If only I had been that awesome ten minutes ago!"

Is that really what morning hair looks like on girls?

essentially, yes. It also depends on hair type. Example: my hair looks like hermione's when I wake up. It doesn't have that sexy, disheveled look to it.

I was really going for the frizzy hair look, in that sort of blank look that people have when they just wake up, but when everything is based on line, it's hard to add a lot of random scribbles. Maybe when it's more thoroughly colored.

When I wake up, my hair looks like a Japanese cartoon. Which is probably why Japanese cartoon hair looks like that. I don't believe the guys who came up with Dragonball or Yu-Gi-Oh ever bathed or went outside, and so that's just what they assumed everyone's hair looked like.
