Archy: a verse libre poet reincarnated as a cockroach, from Don Marquis's Archy and Mehitabel poems. I thought it would be clever if his wings made a little suit and his segmented abdomen turned into sort of a vest.
I've always loved cartoon styles like this. You've managed to create expression and liveliness without making your character spastic, disturbing, and unappealing. The conversion of his wings into a coat was very clever, and works well for this sort of character. I'm particularly fond of the running pose. The exaggerated curves of his body (and his expression ) came out perfectly there.
I'd love to see more of him, he strikes me as very interesting.
